This
regal looking bird stands at 150 cm tall and has a 230 cm wingspan. They dine
on fish, frogs and insects. Both the males and females look the same with the
only obvious difference being in their eyes - males have a brown iris whilst
females have a yellow iris.Despite their wide range including areas of Australia
and South East Asia, they are classified as Near Threatened which can be attributed
mainly to water pollution and habitat destruction.
